September 28, 2008, was a gorgeous day for the final Bridge in the Barn for 2008! The weather was perfect! Host Jim Rash grilled GIANT steaks for those attending!
The September 28, 2008, Bridge in the Barn game featured a new format -- "Eight is Enough." Players were assigned a 1, 2 or 3 depending on their number of Masterpoints. Players then combined to form teams in such a manner that no team had more than 8 points, creating a more level playing field. It was great fun!
Improvements in "the barn" itself continue. It now boasts paneling and draperies! Visitors to next year's Barn events will find that the barn has been carpeted. (Speaking of next year, the dates for Bridge in the Barn are as follows: April 26, May 31, June 28, July 26, August 30, and September 27 -- all last Sundays of the month.)
