BRIDGE IN THE BARN 07.27.14 - THE DAY OF THE GREAT FLOOD!

The July 2014 Bridge in the Barn event was memorable for two reasons.  First, it turned out to be "Steak Day."  Host Jim Rash charcoal grilled T-bone steaks.  Those were accompanied by baked potatoes and locally grown sweet corn - plus a variety of other side dishes.  As the bridge game was proceeding on schedule, the heavens opened and rained buckets!  There was so much rain that the barn literally flooded.  Players who were there removed their shoes and jumped up on picnic table benches, making for great photo ops!  Jim opened the drain, the rain subsided, and the water ebbed sufficiently for the game to resume, proving once again that NOTHING will keep determined bridge players from the excitement of opening their next hand!!!
